The
Annual Meetings of the Hawkedon PCC were held in the Church on
Saturday, 8 April 2017. The two Churchwardens, Treasurer and
Secretary, together with the entire PCC were re-elected and will
stand for the coming year as will Mrs Linda Cawston as Parish
Safeguarding Officer.
Of
particular note during March was the well attended special service,
conducted by Archdeacon David on 26th, at which he dedicated the
recently acquired regular chalice and paten in memory of Jean
Cawston. In addition the Banns were read for two forthcoming
weddings in July and the Cawston and Huckstep families participated
in the service.
Archdeacon
David also announced the welcome appointment of the Revd Dr Simon
Hill as Rector of the Benefice of Suffolk Heights who will be
installed at Chevington Church on 26 July at 7.30pm.
