If you would like to make a donation to the RBL Poppy Appeal2025 you may do so at the following places in Hawkedon village:
- A collecting box and poppies will be on the bar at The Queen’s Head pub from Thursday 23 October to Tuesday 11 November.
- Poppies will be available in St Mary’s Church Hawkedon until Remembrance Sunday 9 November. There will be a collecting box with poppies available at the morning Service on Sunday 26 October. Please do pick up your poppies throughout the Appeal but do not leave donations of cash or cheques in the church unattended.
- If you wish to make a donation please place it in a sealed envelope marked ‘Poppy Appeal’, with your name if you so wish and drop it through the Freemans’ front door letterbox at ‘Top Green Cottage’ opposite the Hawkedon Queen’s Head pub or through the Ludvigsens’ letterbox at ‘Scolesgate Farmhouse’, which is marked and beside their side gate on Cooks Lane. Cash or cheques payable to ‘RBL Poppy Appeal’ are most welcome.
- If you are unable to leave your house and would like to make a donation please contact ‘hawkedonsuffolk@gmail.com’ to arrange collection.
Following the 9AM Service at St Mary’s Church, Hawkedon on Sunday 9 November there will be a short wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial on Hawkedon Village Green at approximately 9.45AM. All are welcome.
