The annual meetings of the Hawkedon PCC were held in the Church on Sunday, 25 February. The two Churchwardens, David Taylor and Heather Phillips; the Treasurer, Judith Wilson; the Secretary, Charles Wilson and the remaining members of the PCC, were re-elected and will stand for the coming year, as will Linda Cawston as Parish Safeguarding Officer. The retirement of Gerald Black was noted with regret and sincere thanks were extended for his many years of support.
There are a couple of changes to the usual
pattern of services this month. Sunday, 1 April (Easter Day)
There will be a 9-00am BCP Holy Communion service with hymns and
bells. There will be NO service on Sunday, 8 April although,
of course, the church will be open for private prayer.
Our usual fourth Sunday service of CW Holy
Communion will take place at 10.45 on Sunday, 22 April.
The floodlighting for the week of 20th March was in memory of Dorothy Williamson.
