HAWKEDON VILLAGE HALL AGM

The AGM was held on 11 November, with three members of the public attending. Maintenance spend on the hall has been relatively high this year as it was necessary to give the hall another coat of paint, so expenses have exceeded income. In general, the village hall has had a relatively quiet year, and there is a strong desire to hold more events and to make more use of the fabulous resource the village has.

Long serving trustees of the village hall, Bob and Janet Jenkins, have decided to step down from the committee. Their contribution to the running of the village hall will be much missed – Janet in particular has been a fabulous treasurer and over the years has produced mountains of cake and produce that have both raised substantial sums for the hall and brightened many a pantry in the village!
